Account

Dawām has no account. Ekale Investments Ltd runs no server. The app carries no advertising or analytics software.

Location

Prayer times and the qibla bearing are calculated on the device. Coordinates stay on it.

A place name can be shown alongside your times. The lookup is done by the device operating system, Apple or Google, under its own privacy policy. It is optional.

Location access can be refused or withdrawn in device settings. The app continues to run, and the day plan carries no clock.

What is stored on the device

Your day plan, the rows you add, your record, bookmarks, verse notes, reading progress, tasbih sittings and settings are stored by the app on the device. Uninstalling removes all of it.

Home screen widgets read the same on-device data and draw it outside the app. Nothing is transmitted.

Content

Quran text, translations, mushaf pages, hadith, duas and the 99 Names are requested from ummahapi.com. A request carries what was asked for and your IP address.

ummahapi.com is an independent service with its own privacy policy. It states that they log the endpoint, the time, the IP address and the user agent, and that they do not sell or rent data. There is no data processing agreement between Ekale Investments Ltd and ummahapi.com.

Recitation audio is streamed from a content delivery network named by the service at request time.

Crash reports

Crash reports go to Sentry. A report contains the error, the device model, the operating system version, the app version, and a record of what the app was doing. IP attachment is off. Session recording is off except around an error, where text and images are masked. Crash reporting cannot be switched off separately.

Sentry holds reports under the retention period set for our account. A report can be deleted on request.

Notifications

Prayer notifications are scheduled by the device. No push token is created.

Updates

On launch, the app checks for an update through Expo's update service.

Who receives data

• ummahapi.com, for Quran, hadith, dua and Names content.
• A content delivery network named by that service, for recitation audio.
• Sentry, for crash reports.
• Expo, for the update check.
• Your device operating system, for an optional place name.

Data is not sold, rented, or shared for anyone else's purposes.

Children

Dawām is suitable for general audiences. It collects no personal details and has no account or messaging.

Your rights

Ekale Investments Ltd holds no account and no copy of your data, so there is no profile to export or correct. Everything the app stores is on your device and under your control.

To have a crash report deleted, write to support@tibiyan.com with the approximate date and time.

This website

This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, embeds nothing and loads nothing from a third party.

Deletion

Uninstall the app and everything Dawām stores goes with it. Full detail is on the data deletion page.

Changes

Revisions appear on this page with a new date.
